OCTOBER, THE MONTH LOCALS KEEP QUIET ABOUT
If I could only keep one month on the Côte d'Azur, I think it might be October. The light turns low and golden. After the first autumn rain the air clears and the mountains look close enough to touch. The villages celebrate the harvest with chestnuts roasting in the square, the markets fill with mushrooms and late figs and suddenly the waiter has time to chat. October is also the month the year quietly turns. The Toussaint school holidays begin, the clocks go back an hour and by late afternoon the light is already fading. This month I'm sharing the fêtes I'd go to, where I'd still swim, a closer look at Valbonne and what October means if you're thinking about buying or selling a home here. Welcome to October!

SEPTEMBER, WHEN THE RIVIERA BECOMES OURS AGAIN
There's a moment on the Côte d'Azur, usually somewhere around the beginning of September, when everything changes. The beaches are still warm. The evenings are still long enough for dinner outside. But suddenly there's a parking space, your favourite restaurant has a table, and the road into town no longer feels like a test of character. For visitors, September is the end of summer. For those of us who live here, it can feel like the beginning of the best part. This month I'm sharing what's happening around the Riviera, where I'd go while the sea is still warm, a closer look at Biot, and what September means if you're thinking about buying or selling a home here. Welcome to September!
